Sean McVeigh refers to the viral video, which laughs at the choice of the Patriots in the first round

Shortly after the New England Patriots made the surprising decision to promote Chattanooga offensive striker Cole Strange in the first round, a video surfaced showing Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVeigh and general manager Les Sneed reacting. The two men seemed to be quite surprised by the choice.

“UT-Chattanooga for the first round,” Sneed said of the selection.

“How about that,” McVeigh added. “And we wasted our time watching it, thinking it might be 104.”

The reaction sparked some controversy, with some seeing McVay’s remarks in particular as a mild attitude toward the Patriots and the 29th overall pick in the draft. Since then, however, the Aries head coach has spoken out on the issue, claiming that his statements have been misinterpreted.

“I wish it hadn’t been misunderstood. It was more of a reflection of that, I was actually making it hard for Les, because when we started watching him, I think we both agreed, there’s no way he’s going to be there. [at 104] because we like the player so much, “he said.

“If there is someone who respects coach Belicic and what he has done for me, I would like to see him, because I have great respect for this profession and the players who play at this level, and I would never want this to be misunderstood. for Cole Strange or the Patriots, that is anything but respect for the player. That was my reaction, and any misunderstanding was my fault for the way I probably communicated it. “

According to Snead, McVeigh has spoken to both Strange and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick since the video surfaced.
