A man was charged after stabbing himself with a knife during Eid’s prayer at a mosque in Bradford on Monday.
Bradford detectives have charged Wyck with attempted murder after a 20-year-old man was seriously attacked on Newton Street, West Bowling and Bradford.
Fezan Hussein, 26, of Radfield Road in Wake, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an assault weapon.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Bradford and Kaylee Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
The indictment is related to the incident at the Madni Masjid Islamic Center on Newton Street.
The victim, who police said was taken to the Royal Hospital in Bradford in critical condition, remained in hospital tonight in serious condition.
A police spokesman added: “Since the man has been charged, the Disrespect of the Court Act is in force and we ask residents to refrain from commenting that could harm the upcoming court proceedings.”
