A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a collision between two cars in Ko Donegal last night.
The collision took place on the mountain road between Buncrana and Carndonagh around 10.50 pm.
The driver of one of the cars, a man about 40 years old, was pronounced dead and the scene of the accident.
His body was taken to Letterkeni University Hospital.
A man and a woman in the second car were taken to LUH after the accident.
The woman, who is about 30 years old and is a passenger in the car, is in serious condition.
The mountain road (R244) is closed between Buncrana and Carndonagh and there are detours to Drumfries and Churchlanquarters.
