A 71-year-old man from Calgary is dead after a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon on Highway 22.
RCMP officials confirmed that the motorcyclist was traveling north on the highway near Redwood Meadows around 5 pm when he lost control of the motorcycle, entered the ditch and rolled over.
EMS, RCMP and Redwood Meadows fire crews responded to the crash site, but the man was pronounced dead on the spot.
The investigation into the fatal accident is underway. Anyone who witnessed the crash was asked to contact the Cochrane RCMP at 403-851-8000 or anonymous advice could be sent to Crime Stoppers.
