Met Gala 2022: The best dressed stars on the red carpet

The Met Gala 2022 is officially here and again at its usual time interval, the first weekend in May after being postponed due to Covid-19.

The annual fashion show took place on September 13 last year and was canceled a year earlier due to the pandemic. Tonight, nearly 400 celebrities will attend the event in New York and walk the red carpet on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This year’s theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, the dress code is listed in the invitations as “Gold Glitter” and is part of an exhibition by the Museum’s Costume Institute. The first part of the exhibition, “In America: Lexicon of Fashion”, was the theme of the Met Gala 2021.

Usually, Vogue’s Anna Wintour will lead the gala, just as she has done since 1995, and has organized a list of celebrity guests for the evening. Along with Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, the hosts of the event will be Lynn-Manuel Miranda and Regina King.

Many stars will pose on the red carpet tonight, and here are some of the best dressed celebrities at this year’s Met Gala.
