Republicans condemn the expiration of a draft Supreme Court abortion ruling

Republicans spoke Monday night in response to the expiration of a draft Supreme Court ruling that would overturn Rowe v. Wade.

Politico has published what it sees as a draft majority decision, authored by Conservative Judge Samuel Alito, which will end federal abortion rights by restoring the legality of the procedure to the state.

While Democrats condemned the essence of the draft decision, Republican leaders condemned the leak itself, with some saying it was evidence of hostility to conservative views.

“The left is continuing its attack on the Supreme Court with an unprecedented violation of confidentiality, which is clearly intended to intimidate,” wrote Missouri Senator Josh Hawley (R). “Judges must not succumb to this attempt to corrupt the process. Be strong.”

It was unclear who provided the document to Politico, which said a formal decision was not expected for weeks.

Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) Agreed with Hawley that “This violation shows that the Radical Democrats are working even harder to intimidate and undermine the Court.”

“It simply came to our notice then. Judges cannot be influenced by this attack, “Scott added.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) Said: “The next time you hear the far left preach about how they are fighting to preserve the institutions and norms of our republic, remember how the Supreme Court’s opinion expired in an attempt to intimidate the judges of abortion. ”

However, Senator James Lankford (R-Okla.) Said there was no way to check if it was accurate and, if so, who had expired or why.

Lawmakers, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Have called for an investigation into the source of the leak.

“The Supreme Court and the Department of Justice must get to the bottom of this leak immediately, using all the necessary investigative tools,” Cotton wrote.

“The court must not tolerate this coordinated attack by the left. Make the decision now, “Hawley urged.
