Ubisoft has revealed the development of its problematic remake Prince of Persia: Sands of Time – which was originally due out in January last year – has been moved to a new studio and will now be released “when it’s ready”.
Prior to today’s announcement, the remake of Sands of Time was developed by Ubisoft Pune and Mumbai, but the project failed since its launch in September 2020. Shortly after its announcement, Ubisoft moved the launch date from January 2021 to March of that year. , but February brought a second delay, this time indefinitely as the team worked on providing a “remake that looks fresh while staying true to the original”.
The next update in June last year gave the remake of the Prince of Persia a redesigned startup window from 2022 and since then everything has been pretty quiet.
