Michael Terio leaves Toronto police; accusations of discredited behavior were dropped

Michael Terio is no longer a Toronto police officer.

He resigned on April 19.

This means that he is no longer facing two charges of discredited behavior against him, as the police tribunal no longer has jurisdiction over him.

Terio was convicted of assaulting Dafonte Miller on Whitby, a young black teenager in 2016.

After being sentenced to nine months in prison, he was fired without pay.
