Ben Shepard paid tribute to a Tipping Point contestant who died while their appearance on the show aired Wednesday night.

On Twitter, Ben revealed that one of the stars of the ITV show has died after recording the episode.

He explained that Kat, a retired school bus driver from Bolton, had died.

Sharing a photo on Twitter of the two together, he wrote: “Today’s Tipping Point is touching” since I recorded the show, the beautiful athlete Kat, pictured behind the scenes here, has died.

“Our thoughts and love are with her family and friends.”

Fans took to Twitter to share their condolences, with one commenting: “It’s always sad here that some pass by when they’ve been on the show, So sad for their RIP Lady family and thank you for a turning point that informs us if anyone happened to see the show, not that it’s a holiday, but we can remember them and send our condolences. “
