White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki reiterated on Friday that President Biden had no opinion on the use of protests to influence Supreme Court rulings.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Psaki said Biden believed in “peaceful protests”, but disapproved of attempts to pressure the Supreme Court’s rulings. Referring to his belief in the separation of powers in the government, Psaki clarified that the president is cautious about exceeding his position.
“The president believes in peaceful protests. He believes that this is part of our democracy and part of the history of the United States in this country, “Psaki said. “But he also respects and understands the independence of the third branch of government – and obviously the Ministry of Justice. But also the role of the Supreme Court and what they play. “
JOHN ROBERTS: LEAKING THE SUPREME COURT “ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE”
“So I would not say that he has an opinion on the matter. He believes in peaceful protests, but they will make the decisions they make, and we will not judge the final opinion, “she added.
Psaki later said it was “our preference” that the final opinion did not “resemble the expired opinion.”

The Supreme Court is ready to remove Rowe v. Wade, according to an unprecedented leak of a draft opinion written by Judge Samuel Alito.
The traction leak received by Politico was written in early February. It was not immediately clear whether it had been rewritten or reworked. The court refused to check or reject the document. Analysts speculate that the leak could be an attempt to pressure a Supreme Court judge to change his voice in a key case.

Chief Justice John Roberts called the expiration of a revoked court order Rowe vs. Wade “absolutely horrifying” in a conversation on Thursday. The judge then dismissed any question that the leak would affect the Supreme Court’s final decision.

“The leak of such information is absolutely appalling,” Roberts said. “If the person behind him thinks it’s going to affect our work, it’s just stupid.”
