Police are looking for a man riding a scooter who lit fireworks in the center

In two separate incidents, a man set off fireworks behind pedestrians on Mississauga Street on Friday morning

Police are looking for a man who is said to have set off fireworks behind pedestrians in downtown Orilia.

On Friday between 10:30 and 11 a.m., a man on an electric scooter “lit fireworks behind two individuals as he passed them,” Orillia OPP said in a press release.

Both incidents occurred on Mississaga Street between West Street and Front Street.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 60s with a gray beard to mid-chest. He wore a gray sweater, black sunglasses, and a black flame baseball cap. He was driving a red / orange scooter.
