Bill Kenwright described the actions of Everton supporters as “humiliating”, praising them for their “inspiring role” in recent performances.
A sold-out end as a guest secured the soundtrack to the Blues’ 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Sunday, after which he stayed long after the match to celebrate the decisive result.
The passionate demonstration followed scenes in front of Finch Farm on Saturday, where hundreds gathered to applaud Everton players when they left the training complex, and those from last weekend, when Goodison Park was turned into a cauldron of noise for the victory over Chelsea.

Kenwright praised Everton fans and described the efforts of King Power Stadium fans as “exciting, exciting and humiliating”.
The chairman added: “Singing for 90 minutes and then continuing for 20 minutes after the game was over and every Leicester City fan had left the stadium was amazing. I stood and watched it all at the end, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything like it. ”
Kenwright insisted that there was no doubt that the supporters were vital to another victory that pulled the Blues out of the relegation zone.
He said: “No one wants to see their club in a relegation battle… especially not our club… but the Evertonians have set a new standard for how fans can play a role in this battle. a club like ours … and that’s because there are no supporters like ours. If proof was needed, this has been shown in abundance over the last 10 days.
“During this time, the Evertonians have risen to a new level of dedication – even by their own standards – with an incredible ongoing demonstration of support for their club and their team, not only at Goodison but at Finch Farm and beyond.
