Charleston, Virginia (WSAZ) – Police in Charleston are investigating a shooting at 1,500 blocks on Washington Street East.
According to Lieutenant Tony Hazelet, when officers arrived, they found the victim with two gunshot wounds. The victim was identified on the 30-year-old Tracuante Wheels in the parking lot. Coles was taken to hospital and is in critical condition.
The call was received around 19:00. Saturday.
After additional investigation, the suspect and the victim quarreled in the parking lot. As Coles took off his backpack, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Coles. The suspect then ran between Par Par and Duffy’s wipers.
Police say they believe it is an isolated incident. There is no threat to Ruffner Ave and the surrounding area.
The suspect is said to be a man wearing a black sweatshirt with a Looney Tunes symbol.
