A 30-year-old man died after a severe attack in a suburb of Edinburgh on Thursday night, confirmed the Scottish police.
Edinburgh Live reports that the incident happened around 8 pm on May 5 in Nydri, in the southeastern part of the capital.
Paramedics were called in to search for the victim on Niddrie Marischal Road at the intersection with Niddrie Marischal Grove.
The man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hospital in Edinburgh, where he reportedly died earlier on Saturday.
His death was treated as unexplained and officials turned to the public for information.

Locals are being told to expect a larger police presence in Nydri as officers carry out investigations.
A Scottish police spokesman said: “At around 20:00 on Thursday, 5 May 2022, police were called to report a 30-year-old man who was seriously attacked on Niddrie Marischal Road, at the junction of Niddrie Marischal Grove , Edinburgh.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Hospital in Edinburgh, where he died on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
“Officials treat the death as unexplained and the investigation into the full circumstances continues.
“A report will be sent to the fiscal prosecutor’s office.
“As we investigate, more staff will be in the area.
“If you have any concerns, please contact these staff.
Investigations into this incident are currently underway and anyone with information should contact 101 with reference 3262 dated 5 May 2022.
