Emergency services were called today in downtown Oldham to alert a man on the roof.
Police closed part of Yorkshire Street and negotiators were present. It is assumed that the man was at the top of the building from 6:20 in the morning.
The road is closed between St Mary’s Way and Horsedge Street. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene.
An update to the Inrix traffic monitoring website reads: “Yorkshire Street. One-way street closed due to police incident between St Mary’s Way and Horsedge Street.”
