One said, “I can’t tell if it’s real or you’re all playing together, and another said, ‘It’s very real, too, that you sometimes need to drain your chassis rails.’

A third wrote, “I swear I’m learning something new every day!” While another asked, “What, how come I’ve never heard of it ???”

Water can pass through window and door seals when it is raining or when washing your car, and water must come out through holes in the bottom.

But they can become clogged due to dirt or debris from the road – which means they need to be drained. e

You can usually find them at the bottom of the doors, although they can be found elsewhere.

According to automotive site Cars.com, many vehicles will have drainage panels in the swing panels and rear panels, both located near the doors.

Vehicles may also have drainage holes located under the windscreen and close to the boot to prevent water from collecting in these areas.

To check for blockages, run a hose through the windshield, boots and doors – and see if the water drains properly.

If it collects or drains slowly, you may have a blockage. The garden hose may have enough pressure to expel the remnants of the drainage holes.
