Megan Markle and Prince Harry visit the UK: The real reason has been revealed

Queen Elizabeth’s son Prince Andrew, her grandson Harry and his wife Megan Markle will not join her on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for this year’s edition of Trooping the Color, royal officials said last week.

“Only those members of the royal family who are currently taking official public duties on behalf of the queen will join her on June 2,” a spokesman said.

The decision was made “after careful consideration”, he added.

Now, according to a report by Mirror UKthe Duke and Duchess of Sussex “did not want” to appear other than the queen and other royalty on the balcony.

It quotes royal commentator Lonnie Love as saying, “First, Megan and Harry wanted to come to the anniversary.

“They didn’t want to be on the balcony, so I think that’s the job.

“The thing Harry and Megan reportedly want to do is make sure their grandchildren meet the queen,” the royal expert said of the real reason for their visit.
