The killer of a woman killed in a “brutal and prolonged attack” is wanted by Scottish police.
Amy Jane Cannon, 26, was found with a number of serious injuries at a property in West Calder, West Lothian, around 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
She was pronounced dead on the spot and detectives treated her death as murder.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Patrick said: “Our thoughts are with Amy’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Amy was the victim of a brutal, prolonged attack and we will have a permanent police presence in the area as our investigation continues.
“I want to assure the local community that everything is being done to find the person in charge.
“I would also urge anyone who may have information that could help our investigation to come forward.
“We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard any signs of disturbance at the Learmonth Crescent property (West Calder) to contact us.”
“We are also studying video surveillance as part of our investigation, and anyone who may have private footage, perhaps from a control camera or a bell, is asked to check it out and give us something noticeable.
