A statement from the Ministry of the Interior on the issue of restrictions reads: “This order shall enter into force from 12:00 on July 22, 2020 to 12:00 on May 15, 2022, without prejudice to its possible amendment. respond to changes in circumstances or new recommendations in the field of the European Union ”.
It is expected that after May 19, travelers who have not been vaccinated against the virus will be allowed to enter the country without the need to provide proof of recovery – although the Spanish government has not yet confirmed this.
Currently, people over the age of 18 who have not been vaccinated against covid can enter Spain if they provide evidence of recovery from the virus within six months before the trip.
Children between the ages of 12 and 17 can enter with proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arriving in the country, while people under the age of 12 are exempt from all travel restrictions.

However, this list includes only some types of passengers – such as health professionals, transport staff, diplomatic and consular staff, students and highly skilled workers, among others.
Spain recently repealed the country’s rules, and on April 20, the obligation to wear a mask in indoor and outdoor public places in Spain was lifted.
The mask requirement remains in place in some specific places such as healthcare facilities, pharmacies, public transport and places, among others.
