The city of West Kelowna announced the temporary closure of Boucherie Road on Thursday night.
The teams will block Buchery Road between Hayman Road and Stuart Road between 5:45 pm and 10 pm on May 12 to begin the first of two phases of spring maintenance.
Crews will clean catch basins and medians, repair signs and street lamps, mow and trim grass, sweep the street, test and repair irrigation lines and wash retaining walls.
Motorcyclists are encouraged to use Highway 97 and Hudson Road or Hayman and Stuart Roads as a detour. The teams will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living in the area, buses and people using public transport.
