Prince Harry’s “offensive” remark about the Queen is a “ridiculous” attempt to regain popularity

Prince Harry’s bizarre attempt to gain recognition after leaving the throne is ridiculed by a royal expert.

The royal editor of the Daily Mirror, Russell Myers, says the Duke of Sussex’s comments about the Queen’s “protection” in a recent interview are “absolutely offensive” and “ridiculous”.

Mr Myers said: “I just think Harry’s interview with American television a few weeks ago was absolutely ridiculous.

“What the hell is he talking about protecting the queen to make sure she has the right people around her?”

Mr Myers added that Harry lived “5,000 miles away”.

He added: “He has chosen to give up his debt, he has escaped from the royal family and his debt, which he has left behind, but he comes out with ridiculous statements that he is the one who protects the queen.”

The royal editor added: “I think it’s absolutely insulting.”

Speaking to Hoda Cott, Harry admitted that he ensured that the Queen was always surrounded by the “right people” and took care of her “protection” even in the United States.
