The Chiefs schedule for 2022 is unprecedented in NFL history.

Kansas City starts with eight straight opponents who had a winning record last season. This makes the Chiefs the first team to ever start the season with eight consecutive games against teams that have won a record, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Here are the top eight opponents of the Chiefs, with their records from the previous year: Week 1: at the Cardinals (11-6) Week 2: Chargers (9-8) Week 3: at the Colts (9-8) Week 4 at the Buccaneers (13- 4) Week 5: Raiders (10-7) Week 6: Bills (11-6) Week 7: at 49ers (10-7) Week 8: Bye. Week 9: Titans (12-5)

It is only in the 10th week, when the bosses face the Jaguars, that they meet a team that did not have a record for victories in 2021.

The Chiefs knew they would have very good opponents this season: they play the schedule for first place, they are in a difficult division in AFC West and they play their non-conference matches against another heavyweight division in NFC West. But no one knew they would play so many good opponents in a row to make the season.
