Police have named a man suspected of stabbing a man to death.
Officers were called for disturbances at an apartment on Newham Drive, Tubrook, on Sunday, May 15. Emergency services found 49-year-old Derek Burns dead at the scene.
Mr Burns has since died of a stab wound to the chest since his death. Detectives detained a 56-year-old man on the spot.

Jeffrey Kelly of Newham Drive has been charged with murder and has been remanded in custody to appear in adult court in Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton and St. Helens today, Tuesday, May 17.
After investigating the murder, Detective Inspector Catherine Cox said: “Our thoughts are primarily with the victim’s family tonight. His death, of course, would be a huge shock to them, as well as to the wider Tuebrook community.
