Apple today released the first beta versions of upcoming updates to iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 from developers for testing, with the new software coming two days after the release of iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5.
Developers can download iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 through the Apple Developer Center or over the air once the correct profile is installed on the iPhone or iPad.
We still don’t know what can be introduced in iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6, as Apple has already implemented all the features that were announced as coming in iOS and iPadOS 15 updates, and work on iOS 15 is likely to end with iOS 16 approaching.
iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 may be one of the latest updates to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, as Apple is now working on iOS 16. We will see OSiOS 16 for the first time on June 6, the first day of the World Developers Conference.
Apple also released initial beta versions of tvOS 15.6 and watchOS 8.7.
