The 2021 NBA Draft could remain one of the deepest in recent memories, as there was no shortage of talented rookies throughout the season. From the announced lottery game to the diamond finds in raw sizes in the second round, this season we have seen an extensive harvest of young, experienced players. So it’s no surprise that the 2021-22 NBA rookie teams are full of talent. Although I’m sure it was a little difficult to make some of these selections, only 10 players qualified, which was announced on Wednesday night before match 1 of the Western Conference finals.

Recently crowned rookie of the year Scotty Barnes was unanimously selected for the first team, as was rookie of the year runner-up Evan Mobley and No. 1 overall pick in Cade Cunningham’s 2021 draft. Jalen Green and Franz Wagner filled the rest of the First Team. The second team consists of Ayo Dosunmu, Chris Duarte, Josh Guide, Bones Highland and Herbert Jones.

Here is how the official vote ended:

Other players who received votes included Jonathan Cuminga, Davyn Mitchell, Alperen Sengun, Jalen Suggs, Ziair Williams, Jose Alvarado, Austin Reeves, Josh Christopher, Trey Murphy III and Cam Thomas. The list of players who also received votes was impressive enough this season that they could make a third rookie team from this talent pool. Although none of these players qualify, this is indicative of how many talents appear in the league.
