The subway strike was announced to disrupt Queen Elizabeth’s platinum anniversary celebrations

The National Union of Rail, Sea and Transport Carriers (RMT) has received a response to the strike to disrupt Queen Elizabeth’s platinum anniversary celebrations.

The royal biographer called “completely scandalous behavior” and demanded “they should be fired.”

Below is the full statement issued by RMT:

“Subway workers will go on strike at Euston and Green Park stations on June 3 if no action is taken against a harassment manager.

RMT members at both stations have suffered years of intimidation, harassment and unjustified dismissal of colleagues by a manager who has created a toxic atmosphere in the workplace.

The strike is scheduled for June 3, which coincides with the Queen’s anniversary and will last 24 hours.

RMT Secretary General Mick Lynch said: “Euston and Green Park tube staff have suffered years of prolonged harassment and intimidation by a manager who has created a toxic work environment.

“The union tried in vain to reason with the management, but they will now not allow local representatives to participate in the inspection of dismissals at the stations, instigated by the manager in question.

“Our strike on June 3 will cause significant embarrassment to people who want to celebrate the Queen’s anniversary. However, if the pipe bosses do the right thing and deal with the manager in question, we can find a fair solution to this dispute. “
