Johnny Depp wears the truth ring in court during the battle with Amber Heard

Johnny Depp made a statement in court on Thursday – literally.

The 58-year-old actor wore a thick silver ring with the word “truth” written for his last appearance in his ongoing court battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Depp is suing 36-year-old Hurd for defamation after she hinted that their relationship was offensive in an article written for The Washington Post in 2018.

The “Cry Baby” star originally filed a $ 50 million lawsuit in March 2019. Hurd has filed a $ 100 million lawsuit.

Depp’s legal team says Hurd’s allegations have affected his career, and now his tarnished reputation is preventing him from earning opportunities – including a role in “Pirates of the Caribbean 6.”

Hurd, meanwhile, says her claims are true. She accused Depp of beating her and threatening to kill her during their relationship.

The former have been on trial for weeks, and their testimony has polarized supporters on each side.

Famous names such as Chris Rock, Joe Rogan, Ireland Baldwin and Eva Green expressed public support for Depp, while Julia Fox, Katie Griffin and Howard Stern did the same for Hurd.

Hurd and Depp – who met on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2011 – got married in 2015. They separated in May 2016, when Hurd accused Depp of harassing her and demanded a restraining order for domestic violence against him. Depp denied the allegations and the former couple eventually settled their divorce out of court in August 2016.
