The Golden State Warriors put on a show Friday night at the Chase Center and did so in front of a crowd that wore slightly fewer vests than Patagonia than usual.
The stars were out to see the Dubbs’ third-largest playoff win in franchise history, a 126-117 Golden State thriller that brought the Warriors 2-0 to the Western Conference Finals.
On the court to take it all was 15 Grammy Award winner Adele, who sat next to boyfriend Rich Paul, CEO of Klutch Sports, which represents longtime friend of Paul LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Zack Levine and most importantly for match on Friday night, Draymond Green. Paul watched Green turn into a brutal game 2, ending with a technical foul and a triple single (6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) as he got into foul trouble (he played just 28 minutes before taking his sixth).
Chase Center (and Oracle before that) and Bay Area rap legend Mistah FAB were also available, as well as Mark Cuban’s enemy Lil Wayne and the Auckland product Symba, one of the Complex rappers to watch in 2021. Attended TV royalties Carrie Byron from “Mythbusters”, the mainstay of Food Network Tyler Florence and the Oppenheimer twins from the fame of “Selling Sunset”.
My voice disappeared from the applause of the @warriors game. Thanks to @AnnicbSf pic.twitter.com/uHYqTscSUN

And, of course, there were many NBA legends, including Gary Peyton (whose son, Gary Peyton II, is still off the Warriors team with a broken left elbow from Dylan Brooks in the Western Conference semifinals) and Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki. However, the best observation is perhaps the former warrior Javel McGee. The 7-foot was spotted in the stands, trying to look incognito with a black hood, and then later hugged him with Green in the Chase Center tunnel.
Was Javel at Chase Center tonight applauding the Warriors?

McGee signed a one-year contract last season with the Phoenix Suns, who were eliminated in the final round by the Warriors’ opponent in the Western Conference finals. McGee, who played two seasons with the Dubs (and won titles both seasons), is currently an unlimited free agent.
