2021-22 The Kia NBA All-Defensive Team was selected from a global panel of 100 sports writers and television operators. Players received two points for each vote for the NBA’s first team for all defenses and one point for each vote for the second team. Voters chose two guards, two strikers and one center for each team, choosing players for the position they play regularly. Players who have received votes in several positions are ranked in the position in which they received the most voting points.
The results of the voting for the 2021-22 Kia NBA All-Defensive Team are below. The “Total Points” category represents the voting points that players receive in each position, not just the position in which they are listed. The vote was made in a table by the independent accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP. The full ballots for each voter will be published on PR.NBA.com after the announcement of all awards at the end of the season.
