“Well, Earth. I love you. Thank you for letting me stay for a while, ”McKinnon said emotionally as he stepped through a door made to look like the entrance to a spaceship.

“Live from New York, it’s Saturday night,” she added.

In an Instagram post shared by Saturday Night Live writer Dave Cyrus, Davidson said he was “so happy” to share his latest sketch with the audience.

“I decided that since I’m a stand-up comedian, I’ll just try my stand-up and personal stuff in the Weekend Update like myself, and I’m glad I did,” said an Instagram post signed by Davidson, who is not on the platform. on social media. “I have to share so much with this audience and literally grow before your eyes.”

The post included a video by Davidson eight years ago in which the comedian said he had “just returned from making my first update and sketch”.

“It’s crazy to think I’m going to do my last thing today,” he added.

Bryant also appeared in The Weekend Update, reiterating his role as a trend predictor with fellow actor Bowen Young and Update co-host Michael Che.

In the part of the sketch in which the comedians predict what will happen in the future or what will come out, Bryant, who has been on the show for a decade, says: “After: 10 good years”.

Young says, “Q: A friend without whom I couldn’t do this.”

Deadline and Variety announced on Friday that Mooney is also leaving the show.

During Saturday’s finale, he played a concerned shareholder in a 1981 remake of the sketch “9:15 a.m. to 5:10 p.m.” – which ended with Mooney and former SNL cast member Fred Armisen jumping out the window of a high-rise building.
