Bristol Live reported the appeal to police last week when the family of the Pucklechurch man reported him missing and said he usually talks or contacts his family every day, but they have not heard from him.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the tragic news had been reported to the family and investigations would continue to prepare a file for the investigator.

“Unfortunately, a body was found today (Sunday, May 22) while searching for the missing Victor,” a spokesman said. The 56-year-old from Pullchurch was reported missing on Thursday, May 12, after the family worried they hadn’t heard from him the day before. A body was rescued today from the waters of South Wales. Although the formal identification is not yet complete, we believe it is Victor. His family is aware of today’s sad developments and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time, “he added.

“Investigations will continue to be conducted on behalf of the investigator. The circumstances surrounding the death are not considered suspicious,” he said.
