Patrols at Revere Beach Seven people were arrested at Revere Beach on Saturday.
River, Massachusetts – At least nine people were arrested on two beaches in the Boston area on Saturday.
State police said they had arrested seven people on Revere Beach at 9 p.m.
Fees include:
• A minor accused of assaulting and beating a police officer and hooliganism;
• A minor accused of illegal possession of a knife;
• A minor accused of crime, hooliganism and resistance to arrest;
• A minor accused of hooliganism and resisting arrest;
• a 52-year-old man accused of domestic violence;
• A 61-year-old man accused of obtaining alcohol for a minor; and
• A 27-year-old woman accused of drug trafficking.
Revere Beach closed half an hour after dusk on Saturday. At 6 pm a parking ban came in
Police also said they had made five arrests on Carson Beach in Dorchester after “many beachgoers engaged in disobedience and disorderly conduct”. Charges include hooliganism, resistance to arrest, police intervention and possession of fireworks.
Two of those arrested are minors.
State police estimated the crowd at Carson Beach at about several thousand in the evening.

Police did not identify any of those arrested by name.
State police said they were stepping up patrols on both beaches on Sunday in anticipation of large crowds trying to escape the potentially record heat.
