In an open letter to Ukraine’s children published Sunday night, Mr Johnson said he was “very sad” to see young people absent from Kyiv’s streets and parks when he visited the capital last month, adding: “I can’t presents how difficult this year must have been for you. ”
He writes: “After the invasion, many of you were forced to leave your homes. You have left behind family, friends, pets, toys and everything familiar, seeking refuge in subway stations, distant cities, even other countries. I can’t imagine how difficult this year must have been for you. “
