Instagram introduces a new logo, typography and others in visual refresh

In an effort to visually refresh its app, the Meta-owned photo-sharing platform, Instagram has announced that it is introducing a brighter icon in its own printing house.

The company said its new design system puts content at the center, with a focus on simplicity and self-expression.

“We bring new energy and purpose to our colors, font, logo and other elements of the brand with a refreshed visual identity. “Our new system is designed to embrace continuous evolution to help us create more immersive and inclusive experiences for our community,” Instagram said in a statement.

The platform mentioned that its new font, Instagram Sans, was designed with heritage in mind and includes many global scripts.

“Our living gradient has been rethought with the help of an innovative 3D modeling process to make it feel bright and alive. The Instagram gradient, made up of the colors of our brand, is the basis of our overall color system.

“Through the lighting, the gradient signals moments of discovery in our marketing, logo and even in the application, as seen in the Create, Stickers and Rings Instagram Story mode. We are excited to breathe life into the Instagram experience through the energy of our rethought gradient, ”it added.

Instagram Sans is a new way for the company’s global community to express itself on Instagram in places like Stories and Reels.
