“Five men have been arrested on suspicion of murder. None of these men have ties to the Bristol area we know of and is not considered to be known in the wider Avon and Somerset Polissing area.
Inspector Green confirmed that a number of sites in the area are being investigated. “We have identified a number of scenes that we are investigating,” he said.
“We have one scene on Bloomfield Road where we stand now, one scene just around the corner from Runnymeade Road and one scene at Callington Road Hospital and another up Bath Road.
The photos show a number of detectives searching the Bloomfield Road area and looking under a vehicle. Police cordons were erected near Eagle Road and the bottom of Sandy Park earlier Wednesday morning.
Chief Inspector Mike Buck said: “This is a shocking and violent act that took place on residential streets in Brislington and a full police investigation will now be carried out to identify all those responsible.
“We know this will be of great concern to people living in the area and we would like to reassure the public, although we are at an early stage of the investigation, we are currently treating this as an incident involving people known to everyone else. We do not believe that there is a constant risk to the general public. “
Ch Insp Mike Buck assured the local community that police will step up patrols in the area in the coming days. He also urged anyone with concerns to contact their local employee or contact the local neighborhood police team.
Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to call the police on 101 and give the caller the reference number 5222123307 or you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 anonymously.
