Liker John Prosser today shared seemingly accurate renderings of the iPhone 14 Pro, providing the most accurate view so far of what the device might look like when released later this year.
In the latest video on the YouTube channel Front Page Tech, Proser revealed renderings of the iPhone 14 Pro, made by Apple conceptual graphic designer Jan Zelbo, highlighting a number of specific design changes that are rumored to come to this year’s iPhone from high class.
The renderings reflect a wide variety of plausible design rumors from reputable sources, including CAD visuals and specific sizes, leaked diagrams, images of molds for accessories, early cases and other information.
The front of the iPhone 14 Pro is thought to feature a centered circular array of pill-shaped True Depth cameras in the slot location and thinner bezels around the display, resulting in a significantly different look to the front of the device. It is also said to have a slightly larger display that partially adds to the height of the device.
The most striking change in the back of the device is the significantly larger array of rear cameras, which contains a new 48MP camera with a 57 percent larger sensor and the ability to record 8K video. The camera’s larger plateau is naturally more noticeable on the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro than on the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The renderings also show the corners of the iPhone 14 Pro with larger radii for a more rounded look. Apple may have been forced to change the angle of the iPhone 14 Pro due to its larger array of rear cameras.
The rear cameras of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max largely matched the radius of the corner of the frame of each device, but when Apple increased the size of the arrays of cameras with iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, no device matched its corners. While the difference between the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max camera arrays is small, the difference between the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro is significant.
It seems plausible that with another increase in size this year, the mismatch between the curves of the camera plateau, the lens and the corners of the stainless steel frame itself became too serious on the iPhone 14 Pro, prompting Apple to change the design. The new, larger angular radii still do not exactly match the rounded corners of the rear chamber array plateau, but are significantly closer. This adjustment brings noticeable changes to the front of the device.
Renderings also focus on the auditory purple color of the iPhone 14 range, as Proser confirms a previous report that claims that the “iPhone 14” will be titled “unique” option for purple. There are also images of the expected Graphite, Silver and Gold color options for the Pro models.
Prosser recently shared renderings of one of the new Apple Watch models due to launch this year, featuring a new flat-panel design, but it’s not known if they include the Apple Watch Series 8, the second generation Apple Watch SE, or the new Apple Watch. “Explorer Edition” with increased durability.
