After failing in Game 5, Colorado Avalanche will make its second breakthrough in the St. Louis Blues tonight in the only playoff game for the Stanley Cup.
Back on Wednesday night in Denver, the Blues erased the deficit at 3-1 and 4-3 before Tyler Bozak destroyed the OT winner to prevent elimination. Of course, Avalanche are aiming to eliminate the Blues for a second consecutive season and qualify for the conference finals for the first time in 20 years.
With that in mind, here are some details to keep in mind:
PROP 1: Nathan McKinnon Over 1.5 points (+160) + Over 4.5 SOG (-140)
In case you missed it, MacKinnon was amazing in game 5, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist. On top of that, he collected six shots on goal to clear the 4.5 mark for the first time in three games. After this performance, how can we not expect an encore tonight, especially considering what is at stake in Avalanche. I expect McKinnon to be inspired again.
PROP 2: Kale Although over 0.5 assists (-140)
By his standards, in five games, though, he was a quiet striker. However, the phenomenon has assisted in three consecutive outings, which is obviously great news if you are on this prop. Meanwhile, the power of Colorado is only 2-for-12 in the series, which, depending on how you look at things, means that they are due. At least PP1 works; Connect the dots.
PROP 3: Vladimir Tarasenko Over 2.5 SOG (-160)
The sniper scored one goal and one assist in the Game 5 thriller, something the Blues will definitely need more than tonight. At the very least, Tarasenko has been shooting with the puck much more consistently lately. In his last three outings, he has scored a total of 12 shots (6,1,5) on goal, averaging four per game. Let’s hope for a motivated Tarasenko tonight!
