Windsor police are asking the public for help in identifying a driver who fled after a rollover accident.
Officials responded to block 3200 of Byng Road for a rollover alert on Friday at 3 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a white Toyota Rav 4 with Ontario license plates CHMT 977 on the roof, on the roadway. Police said the driver fled the area before police arrived.
A parked car was damaged as a result of the impact.
After an investigation, it is believed that the vehicle was traveling north on Byng Road, hit a parked vehicle and overturned.
It is possible that there were other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident, who also fled the area.
Everyone in the area with surveillance cameras was asked to review their footage for possible evidence of the vehicle or suspects in the area around the time of the accident.
