A £ 20,000 reward for information on the murder of Mark Hall

The charity Crimestoppers has offered a prize of £ 20,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to a conviction for the murder of Mark Hall in West Belfast.

The 31-year-old man was shot dead at his family home on Rodney Drive on December 18 last year.

Two gunmen approached the house at around 4.30pm and fired through the front window, one of which wounded Mr Hall.

He later died of his injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness described the killing as “brutal” and highlighted CCTV footage released by police about the fatal incident.

“The footage shows Mark’s latest moves as he makes his way to the family home in Rodney Drive,” he said.

“It also shows two armed men arriving in St. James’s Crescent in a light sedan with a taxi sign on top.

“The couple got out of the back door of the car and headed for an alley leading to Rodney Drive.

“Here, in a house with family members present, the painful event took place.

“It was a brutal attack that left loved ones deprived and indeed an entire community united in shock.

“I want to run away from the memories and turn to anyone who has information to do the right thing and move forward. I am particularly interested in finding the vehicle used by the armed men.

“The independent charity Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £ 20,000 for information it receives that leads to prosecution of those responsible.

“To remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers directly on the toll-free number 0800 555 111 or fill out their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

“There is no caller line display, no 1471 facility, and the computer’s IP addresses are never tracked.
