The Island of Love 2022: Actors announced

The Island of Love 2022 is almost here, with a new group of singles preparing to head to the villa this summer.

The ITV2 dating show returns next Monday (June 6th) for a brand new series after last year’s show was won by Millie Court and Liam Reardon.

This year’s group of competitors will participate in training for inclusion before the start of the 2022 season.

The first batch of this year’s Love Island participants was unveiled on Monday (May 30th).

Here is the cast announced so far …

(ITV)

Paige, 24, heads to the Love Island villa in hopes of finding romance after complaining about poor clean-ups in her hometown of Swansea. She has just left a relationship, but is struggling to snap with someone in her meetings and describes herself as the “mother” of the group.

“If I had to choose a signature dish, it would probably be Sunday dinner,” she said. “My roasts are upstairs, I think Gordon Ramsey will be impressed.”

Damie Hope, 26, from Dublin, looking for “new experiences”

(ITV)

Dami has chosen to leave her home in Dublin and enter the villa as part of her long-standing offer to try “new things”. His trick to finding love is to be yourself. “I don’t know if I’m going to cause problems, I’m going to try not to cause problems, but sometimes you don’t cause trouble on purpose – but it happens!” He said.

Regarding what he brings to a relationship, Dami said, “I’m really good at being a team and actually taking care of each other,” attributing the quality to his Aries sign.

“I feel I will bring a lot of taste and vitality,” India said of joining Love Island. “I feel like I’m a very down-to-earth person, so it shouldn’t be a problem to meet a lover or a friend.”

(ITV)

Heading to a villa in his hometown of Newport, South Wales, Liam is studying for a master’s degree in strength and fitness. He is 22, which he says is a “really good age” to find a partner, because “you have your age ahead of you, so you have time to experience things and grow together.”

Asked how his friends and family would describe him, Liam said: “They would probably say quite generous, quite caring, happy, talkative, cheerful, cheerful. I wear my heart on my sleeve, I can’t hide how I feel about anyone. I’m probably quite emotional, too, when I think about it. “
