Help decide who will fight for $ 25,000 and great opportunities for demonstration
TORONTO, June 2, 2022 / CNW / – SiriusXM Canada invites Canadians to help choose the next big star in country music, as the voting for the fourth annual SiriusXM Top of the country competition, in partnership with the Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA). Audiences will decide which of the eight semi-finalists will make it to the final three to perform at some of Canada’s biggest country music events, embark on an exclusive songwriting trip and compete for the 25,000 Grand Prix. dollars. Tyler Joe Miller of Surrey, British Columbia, cemented his place as one of Canada’s most beloved country musicians when he was named the winner of the SiriusXM Top of the Country 2021. “I’ve always loved acting and I’ll always be grateful for the Top of the Country race at SiriusXM, which gave me the opportunity to realize my dreams, “said Miller. “The support of Canadian music fans has been exciting and I will never forget it.”

As part of the artist’s development, SiriusXM took the semi-finalists to the studio to record their original song and create a behind-the-scenes video of the contestants. The three performers with the most votes will advance to the final round and participate in exclusive mentoring sessions and showcases with industry leaders, a SOCAN songwriting trip and opportunities to perform at some of Canada’s biggest music events.
The winner of the grand prize will be chosen during the CCMA 2022 Country Music Week in Calgary, Alberta from September 8 to 11. The finalists will perform live in SiriusXM Country Top Final live broadcast on SiriusXM Canada and will end with an upcoming title that will make it one of the most exciting evenings in Canadian country music!
