Update: At 17:40 today, the police cleared the area. In a press release, they said people should no longer avoid the area, but officials will stay for a while to gather evidence related to the incident.
Prince Albert’s police service has reported an increased police presence in Block 2600 on Second Avenue East.
The public is urged to avoid the area until further notice. A large area is blocked between 25th and 27th streets and between First and Third Avenues East /
Officers were observed in the apartment and spoke to someone through a megaphone.
