A new report confirms that the iPhone 14 will use the A15 chipset, the 14 Pro will use the A16

Back in March, renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo announced that the first two levels of the iPhone 14 (expected to be the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max) will feature an A15 chip, while only the iPhone 14 Pro will feature a new A16 Bionic chipset. . New report from TrendForce confirms this information.

Apple iPhone 13 series

In the industry report from Trend strength it is mentioned that “unlike previous proposals, the Pro series uses only the latest processors” on the iPhone 14. While the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 used the A15 chip, it did so with 4 GB of RAM and quad-core GPU, while the models iPhone 13 Pro used an A15 chip with 6 GB of RAM and a five-core GPU. It is estimated that the 14 and 14 Max will use the latest chipset with more RAM and GPU power.

The reason for this hardware solution is probably due to a shortage of supply chain throughout the industry and thus Apple will not be able to provide the latest chipset for its lower-end models. Apple prefers to focus its supply chain on the production of more expensive Pro models.

Whatever the reason, Apple’s A15 chip does not deviate from current competing chipsets, and having an entry-level iPhone with the chip will certainly not be an obstacle.
