Strong winds cut off power in northwestern Calgary on Thursday afternoon and damaged vehicles after a tent was pulled from the docks.
“We had a bit of nonsense: it blew us away,” Charles Beach, general manager of Charlesglen Toyota, told Global News. “It seems that a plow of wind has occurred, by all indications. And unfortunately he picked up one of our long tents and somehow threw it around like a trampoline.
These tents, originally designed to protect cars from hail, have been set up since 2016.

The 50-meter-long tents damaged the surrounding infrastructure after being blown up.
“The good thing is that no one was injured and we have no equipment. There are only four cars that look damaged. None of them that are (Charles Glen’s Toyota). Unfortunately, they belong to our staff. “
