Blood red: “Smart move” Raphinha Potential Mane “Replacement”? | Transfer daily
Liverpool will miss the signing of the winger of Leeds United Rafinha this summer, after he strengthened his interest in the Brazilian interest.
Jürgen Klopp’s side are ready to lose Sadio Mane this summer after the Senegalese winger outlines his intention to leave Anfield this summer, with Germany’s Bayern Munich strongly linked to a deal to win the African Cup of Nations in 2022.
Bayern have also been linked to an interest in Rafinha, while Barcelona have also been strongly linked to the signing of the former Stade Rennes striker, who currently has two years left on his contract with Eland Road.
Liverpool’s goal Darwin Nunes could lead the next phase of Jurgen Klopp’s attacking evolution.
As Manet was ready to leave Merseyside, Liverpool have stepped up efforts to sign the 25-year-old as a potential replacement, with Liverpool winger Takumi Minamino moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
However, reports from the Spanish edition of Sport claim that Rafinha’s agent has informed Liverpool that he will give priority to the interest from Barcelona over any other club this summer. He left their offer to one side, leaving Klopp’s hopes of signing the winger severely diminished.
Rafinha’s mind may be influenced by his agent Deco. The former Portuguese footballer played 161 times for Barça during a four-year period between 2004 and 2008, scoring 20 goals and winning two La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles.

The report claims that Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear is now asking for 65 million euros (55.4 million pounds) to part with the Brazilian this summer, while The Mirror reported on Saturday that the deal could cost nearly 60 million pounds.
Rafinha has spent the last two seasons at Leeds since signing for Rennes, and is a regular in both Premier League whites. After moving to England, the Brazilian scored 17 goals and made 12 assists in 65 games in the Premier League.
Last season, his goals proved decisive for the Whites in surviving relegation on the last day of the Premier League campaign 2-1 away to Brentford. Rafinha scored a decisive penalty during the victory at London Community Stadium.

Rafinha’s goals directly led to nine of Leeds’ 38 points (23.7%) last season, and if Jesse Marsh’s team loses this summer, a significant signing will be needed to fill the position left by the eight-time Brazilian national.
The winger is currently in an international position with Brazil and won his ninth match for his country during a 1-0 friendly victory over Japan on Monday afternoon.
Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar scored the only goal of the match from a penalty 13 minutes before the end of the match. Rafinha played 63 minutes before being replaced by Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City.
