Speed and alcohol are thought to be factors in Saturday’s motorcycle crash

A male motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries after a single car crash on Saturday.

At around 5:30 pm, a motorcyclist was traveling west on the Stoney Trail NE, trying to get on the North Deerfoot Trail.

According to the police, the driver lost control, passed through a grassy boulevard and crashed his motorcycle into the grass on the other side of an adjacent ramp.

Sergeant Steve Campbell of the Calgary Police Traffic Department said CTV News investigators believe speed and alcohol were factors in the clash.
