Durham regional police are investigating their seventh murder of the year in Ajax.
Police responded to an incident Monday afternoon at a residence near Griffiths and Delaney Drives.
More details about the incident have not been confirmed.
One person has been detained and the investigation has been determined to be murder, police said.
Police are not looking for other suspects and said there were no public safety concerns.
