SpaceX’s mission to the ISS has been postponed due to a fuel problem

NASA is delaying a cargo flight to the International Space Station due to a plethora of caution over the SpaceX Dragon, which may be breathing fire from the wrong place.

The space agency had hoped to launch the capsule on top of a Falcon 9 rocket on Friday, but as fuel was refueled in Dragon’s Draco booster system some time ago, “increased vapor readings of mono-methyl hydrazine (MMH)” were found, according to a statement. of NASA late Monday.

In other words, the sensors detected the slightest hint of a potential fuel leak, and mission control turned everything off.

“Once the exact source of the increased readings has been identified and the cause determined, joint NASA and SpaceX teams will set and announce a new launch date,” the agency said.

Control of the NASA mission in Houston was heard on Tuesday morning, telling ISS astronauts that the new launch date for the mission, called CRS-25, was no earlier than June 28.

When it finally reaches orbit, the spacecraft will carry supplies, equipment and scientific experiments, including testing for immunity and aging, testing a specific alternative to microgravity and other research.
