Manitoba RCMP: 2 teenagers charged with second-degree murder in individual murders

Two Manitoba teenagers have been charged with multiple counts of murder, including one in which pedestrians were “intentionally” hit by a car, according to the RCMP.

The first accident happened around 8:45 pm on Friday, when two pedestrians were hit by a car near Dupont Street in Powerview-Pine Falls.

Police said one of the pedestrians, a 27-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other pedestrian, a 20-year-old man, was found dead on the spot. Both pedestrians were from Powerview-Pine Falls.

RCMP officials are investigating and claiming that a 15-year-old girl was driving when she “deliberately” hit these people.

The Sagkeeng First Nation suspect is charged with second-degree murder and assault with a weapon. She has been detained and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

BOZDANE IN THOMPSON

The second, unrelated incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. Sunday when RCMP officials responded to a stabbing on a public road in Thompson.

Police arrived on the scene and found a life-threatening man.

The 43-year-old man, who is from Winnipeg, was taken to hospital, where he was found dead.

A 15-year-old boy from Thompson has been charged with second-degree murder. He has been detained and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.

None of the allegations in any of these incidents have been proven in court.

Police are continuing to investigate both killings.
