Justin Bieber shares with the fans the serious reason why he recently stopped his Justice World tour. The pop star explained in a video Friday (June 10th) that he has been diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt syndrome.
“I wanted to let you know what’s going on,” Bieber began. “Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsey Hunt Syndrome. And it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has paralyzed my face. “

According to the Mayo Clinic, Ramsey Hunt syndrome occurs when a case of shingles affects the facial nerve near the ear. May cause painful rash as well as paralysis and hearing loss. The medical center also explains that Ramsey Hunt is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox, but rapid treatment can reduce the risk of complications.
In the video, the two-time Grammy winner highlights the physical effects he is experiencing. “As you can see, this eye does not blink, I can’t smile on this side of my face,” he said, pointing to the affected areas. “This nostril will not move. So much paralysis on this side of my face. ”

Bieber noted that he will take a break to rest and try to return to full health so that he can return to the performance.

The Honest singer first told Instagram Story on June 7 that he was postponing some tour dates due to a health problem. “I did my best to recover, but my illness is getting worse,” he wrote at the time.
The star’s tour was originally scheduled to begin in 2020, but was postponed first to 2021, then again to 2022 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
